Enjoy an Evening Out in Pflugerville

It’s been a long week. You’ve put your hours in. You’ve checked off all the stuff on that to-do list. Now it’s time to create a new to-do list, but let’s make this one all about having a fun evening out in Pflugerville.

The city has a lot of parks to check out, delicious dining options and evening activities. But it’s time to pare the list down to one enjoyable evening.

Bask In the Light of the Setting Sun

Get things started with a little fresh air to recharge the senses. For this, cruise on over the Lake Pflugerville.

Considered one of the city’s best amenities, this 180-acre reservoir creates a lot of opportunity. Stroll or bike the 3-mile trail or just relax at a picnic table and watch a few butts go by or catch the sunset.

Now that you got some fresh air and have synced back up with Mother Nature, it’s time to please the palate. Head over to Rogness Brewing Company. These master brewers open their doors to the public on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The brewery, which opened in 2012, is child- and dog-friendly. It has six different taps, and it typically offers at least one beer that is only available at the brewery.

Rogness hosts the Geeks Who Drink Trivia contest on Thursdays. They have food trucks. Enjoy a taste or two, but save your appetite for a full meal a little later.

Treat Your Taste Buds to Something New

Once you’ve awoken your hunger with some suds, relocate to Taste of Ethiopia. For many, this is some pretty adventurous eating. First off, there are no utensils (unless you ask for them). Traditional Ethiopian food is served with injera bread. The protein-packed meals often offer a little spice and a lot of new flavors for many people who haven’t explored Ethiopian cuisine.

If you feel the evening isn’t quite over with, consider tapping your foot to some country music at Mavericks. The club has plenty of dance floor to show off your skills, and it frequently has live bands and special dance nights.
