A Variety of Outstanding Designs by Billy Casper, Greg Nash and Gary Stephenson
Cowan Creek Golf Course is the newest of the three courses. Developed in 2008 and designed by premier golf architect Gary Stephenson, Cowan Creek’s wide-open layout gives golfers aspacious feeling and forever views. The course also has an excellent practice facility.
The White Wing Golf Course, both challenging and a pleasure to play, was designed by PGA Hall of Famers Billy Casper and Greg Nash. White Wing opened in 2001 and its wooded setting creates a remote and peaceful atmosphere. Regularly scheduled clinics are available to golfers of all skill levels.
Open since 1997, the Legacy Hills Golf Course is Sun City’s original course and is ranked among the best golf courses in Texas. Also designed by Billy Casper, Legacy Hills is known for its memorable water features, tree-lined greens and eye-catching topography. This course also offers game clinics for either beginners or experienced players.
The green surfaces are varied among the courses. Cowan Creek and Legacy Hills are laid with smooth Miniverde, while White Wing sports fine-textured TifEagle Bermuda. Sun City residents can purchase a variety of passes that allow play every day at one of the three courses. Individuals can purchase an annual pass, and couples can buy a combo pass for unlimited play for an entire year, along with unlimited range balls, a discount rate for guests, discounts on golf lessons, and five advance tee times.Twenty-five-, fifty- and one hundred-round punch cards are also available.
