An Active Social Calendar and Exemplary Schools

Families in Lost Creek praise its strong sense of community. Residents get together often, gathering for tennis matches or Lost Creek Aquatics swim meets , trading tips at the gardening club or arranging play dates through the local moms’ group. On top of the weekly activities, the Lost Creek Neighborhood Association hosts several events throughout the year including a Fall Festival, Spring Family Fun Day and a July 4th Parade.

In addition to the active social calendar, Lost Creek is a great place to receive a quality education. Located in the highly rated Eanes School District, students living in Lost Creek attend West Ridge Middle School, Forest Trail Elementary and esteemed Westlake High School. All three schools are rated “Exemplary” by the Texas Education Agency, and all three are mere minutes away from the Lost Creek neighborhood.

“As someone who has lived in Austin for a long time, I feel incredibly comfortable here,” says Chris Albanes, an account executive who works downtown at Frost Bank. “Even though we’re so close to downtown, we have lots of our own activities going on. It’s a great sense of community here. We’re not just neighbors, we’re family.”

A Golfer’s Shangri-La

As the wind whistles through the shaded canopy of majestic trees, a friendly crowd lounges at the Lost Creek Country Club, preparing to enjoy their Saturday. Near the golf course, Lost Creek resident Debra Meester is getting ready to tee off with her daughter Sabrina. While Sabrina lines up the shot, Debra sips her iced tea.

“We come here every Saturday,” Debra says, waving to her husband Bruce as he drives up in a golf cart. “In fact, I really can’t imagine myself being anywhere else Saturday morning.”

The Lost Creek Country Club is the centerpiece of the Lost Creek community. Its world-class par-72 championship golf course sits in a picturesque valley. The private club is home to three swimming pools, including a heated lap pool, a tennis center and fitness facility, as well as its own restaurant and grill overlooking the golf course. From sports teams and leagues to special dining events and fun activities, the Lost Creek Country Club caters to all ages and family sizes, and is surrounded by trails and sidewalks for all residents to enjoy.

Despite all the amenities, Debra says her family favorite is still golf. Lost Creek is indeed a golfer’s paradise, not only offering its own 18-hole championship golf course, but also three additional championship golf courses in the nearby Barton Creek area.

“This is definitely the place to be for any serious Austin golfer,” says Debra with a smile. “With four golf courses in one area, I might end up playing more golf than a PGA player!”

The Ideal Location to Enjoy the Active, Austin Lifestyle

For the best in suburban living, locals love Lost Creek. The neighborhood offers an appealing serenity, but is only 15 minutes from downtown Austin, and just a few minutes farther to reach the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Lost Creek’s trails, two neighborhood parks, and the nearby library are additional benefits that residents can easily enjoy. The active community, outstanding school district and incredible amenities make it the ideal location for taking full advantage of the Austin lifestyle.

“It’s the perfect family neighborhood, it really is,” says Ryan Buffalo, a father of three who has lived in Lost Creek for about a year. “We’re always keeping busy with the local country club activities.” Ryan says that his daughters, Kris and Terri, are both avid swimmers at the aquatics center, while his son David enjoys tennis. All three attend nearby West Ridge Middle School.

“Whenever I ask my kids if they want to go somewhere for summer vacation, they say they’d rather hang around here,” Ryan laughs. “And you know what? I have to agree with them.”
