Each is about 10 minutes away. The newer Lakeway location carries on with the class, atmosphere, fine wines, and delicious foods that have made the original location such a success. The biggest difference may be the new location that enjoys more dramatic Hill Country views, a trade-off for lacking the stand of oak trees that gave the original location its name.
What is the same is the quality and service. At both, the atmosphere is relaxed, the food and the wine are superb, and the service crisp and efficient. Frequent diners recommend Reed’s Salad — mixed field greens garnished with caramelized pecans and feta cheese tossed in honey balsamic vinaigrette and delicious fried calamari.
