Austin in October: ACL Festival, Formula 1 and Books Galore

Austin’s headed into one of its busiest months for big events. From music festivals, to book festivals to high tech, high speed racing, October is packed with action.

On the month’s first weekend, Paul McCartney, Metallica and Travis Scott will be in town to play at Austin City Limits Music Festival, along with dozens of other big name bands. And they’ll be back for the second weekend of the festival on October 12-14.

But it’s not all rock and roll. The Texas Book Festival and the Texas Teen Book Festival are both coming up in October, along with a big soccer match at Dell Diamond and plenty of Oktoberfest brews and sausage to check out.

All that activity, and we haven’t even mentioned Halloween yet. It’s going to be a fun month. Whatever you and your friends and family get up to, we hope you have an awesome time.

Now, let’s check out this month’s lineup.
