Fun, Fresh Air and Relaxation for the Entire Family
Rough Creek, a working horse ranch with extensive lavender fields, is the oldest and largest lavender farm in the Wimberley Valley. Today, the farm boasts more than 5,000 live lavender plants. Rough Creek Lavender Fields welcomes the public to walk through the fields and harvest lavender each time it is in bloom — in the spring and again in the fall.
Or if you like, just relax and sit a while and enjoy the quiet of the country as breezes waft the scent of lavender across the property. Rough Creek Lavender Fields also hosts activities such as monarch butterfly viewing, hayrides and a pumpkin carving festival.
The first Saturday of each month between March and September, locals attend the fun-filled Market Days at Wimberley.
