The Summit Library hosts a Volunteer Fair featuring a variety of Summit-based organizations. Each organization will be available to provide information on the good works they each perform on a daily basis. Attendees will have the opportunity to “shop” the organizations to find the right fit for their interest and skills. Organization representatives will be available to answer questions and sign-up potential volunteers.

The Summit Police Department will begin accepting applications for the 2018 Summer Youth Academy. The Academy will be running two, one week sessions of the youth academy this summer, July 23-27 and July 30-August 3, at the Summit Police Department.

The 49th annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Oakwood Park. The Easter Bunny arrives at 9:15 a.m. with the hunt beginning at 9:30 a.m. This event is sponsored by the New Providence Lion’s Club and is appropriate for children pre-school through second grade. Help the Lions feed the hungry and bring a can or box of non-perishable food.

The Summit Library Foundation is holding a concert and reception to benefit the Summit Free Public Library on Sunday, March 25th at 3 pm. Jazz vocalist Sarah Partridge will be performing, followed by a reception featuring assorted hors d’oeuvres from local caterer “What a Dish.” Tickets are available via PayPal below or at the Circulation desk. Patron tickets are $100 and include reserved seating and a free CD.
