Seniors and caregivers can learn the “A, B, D’s of Medicare: The Basics for Boomers,” which is aimed at educating residents on the difference between Medicare and social security eligibility.

Amateur bakers are invited to bring their best pumpkin or sweet potato pie to the Summit Farmers Market by 10:45 a.m. to engage in some friendly competition. Judging, which begins at 11 a.m., will consider crust, filling, and appearance. After the pies are judged, the public will be able to sample them. Pies must be made from scratch; no pre-made crusts are allowed.
