The distinctive swoosh and ping of a well-executed golf swing is the only thing to interrupt the soothing sounds of nature at the Teravista Golf Club. The course with its gently rolling hills, 30-mile views, majestic oaks and well-manicured grounds fully embraces the beauty of the surrounding Texas Hill Country.
Teravista is a great place to get away — for an hour or two at the driving range or a full day on the links. This public, family-friendly course offers a sense of luxury seemingly beyond its affordable price.
An Elegant and “Beginner Friendly” Course
Located in Round Rock, Teravista is easily accessible from Austin and the surrounding communities. The 18-hole course was designed by the Clifton Ezell & Clifton Golf Design Group to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. A varied course of 7,500 yards offers a range of different challenges and pleasures.
You don’t need to be a pro golfer (or even a very experienced one) to enjoy your time at Teravista. The club’s Practice, Learn & Play Program offers four instructional clinics each week from which to choose, unlimited use of practice areas like the driving range and putting green, and a reduced play fee. The Kids Play Free program at Teravista allows one child under 15 to play free for every paying adult. It’s a great way to get children hooked on the game.
Golfers of any skill level can be found working on their game and enjoying the links. With several different tees at each hole, golfers can conveniently find a way to challenge their own skill level and provide a varied experience for repeat visits.
The National Golf Course Owners Association recently named Teravista a “Beginner Friendly Course,” but skilled golfers will find plenty to challenge them here, too. The course is a bit windier than others, which adds a note of challenge to each shot (as well as a refreshing breeze). The course’s many sand traps and other hazards encourage golfers to hone their aim.
An Upscale Sports Experience
A visit to Teravista is a great way to spend time outdoors year-round thanks to the favorable climate of Central Texas. GPS-equipped golf carts are available to ferry golfers between holes, and visitors can always find breakfast, lunch or snacks at the Caldwell Café. Golfers can even enjoy taquitos, fries and vegetable rolls after the Café’s regular hours.
Teravista Golf Club is a great place for experienced golfers, novices and everyone in between in Central Texas. The customizable course with its varying tee placements offers a scalable experience and a reason to visit again and again.
A round of golf can be enjoyed for a reasonable daily fee, and yearly memberships are also available.
