Dripping Springs Real Estate: Peaceful Country Life with Big City Convenience

Historic Dripping Springs, located in the beautiful rolling hills, is only about 40 minutes southwest of downtown Austin. Homeowners can be at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in about 35 minutes.

In Dripping Springs, people are attracted to the area’s natural beauty and its peaceful, small town lifestyle combined with the convenience of big city amenities. Traditionally, this area has been home to artists, skilled craftsmen, and organic produce growers. These days, people from all walks of life are putting down roots.

While its agricultural roots are still an important part of the local character, the town’s steady growth is driven by the dramatic increase of people who commute to Austin. This is a fast-growing area. But even as the area grows, it remains a close-knit community.

“I like living here because of the excellent school district, community involvement and the small town feel, yet we still have big city amenities,” says Monique Hurley, a Dripping Springs homeowner since 2012. “This area is all about family and community. I think that is important when you are raising a family.”
