There are a lot of families living here in Belterra and even more empty-nesters are moving to the area to be near their kids. Not to mention, there are 30 miles of trails and lots of green space.” A guest from the party walks by to confirm Scholl’s enthusiasm. “It’s beautiful out here!”

Everything I enjoy doing outdoors is right here in this community.” His son loves to fish at the pond stocked with perch. After snagging his 10th perch of the day, Tommy says living in Belterra is “good!”

Families with children in Belterra enjoy schools in the highly regarded Dripping Springs Independent School District, including Rooster Springs Elementary School, which is located inside of Belterra and within walking distance from many of the homes. Aniline and his neighbors have relocated from around the state and across the country for their chance to live an active, outdoor lifestyle with the capital city conveniently nearby. “The miles of wooded trails, the residents are so friendly and the elementary school is exemplary,” Aniline says with a genuine smile. “We never want to leave.”
